What does “Principals Only” mean on a job post?

By Cold Collar

Searching through online job posts you’ll find that most are similar in nature, especially if you’re looking at a specific role. Occasionally you’ll see a job post that states “Principals Only”.

No, they aren’t looking to hire a new high school principal. So what does “Principals Only” mean?

It’s simple, the “Principal” is the job seeker — meaning it’s you 😋

Usually this is added as a courtesy informing readers of the job post that the hiring company will not take applications from head hunters, recruiters, or staffing agencies.

The great part is that means they want to hear from candidates directly, giving each application the time it deserves. If you’re interested in the role and see “Principals Only” don’t let that scare you. Take a chance and apply.
